Pete House Memorial Meeting 2025
Sunday 20th July saw us host the fourth annual Pete House Memorial Meeting, and once again it proved to be a special day filled with racing, laughter, and lots of banter — exactly the way Pete would’ve wanted it.
Firstly, a big thank you goes to everyone who donated raffle prizes — with special thanks to Kamtec and AK Modelsport for their generous contributions — and to everyone who bought tickets. The total raised for the KSS Air Ambulance Service (Pete’s chosen charity) this year is £645.32.
With a total of 29 drivers across four classes, the racing was busy and competitive throughout. We had 26 1300 Stock Cars, 8 Mini Stocks, 6 Hot Rods, and 4 Saloons. Congratulations to those who made it on the podium! Full results are now live on the BMCC website.
The meeting’s highlight, as always, was the presentation of the Pete House Memorial Trophy — awarded each year not to the fastest driver, but to someone who embodies Pete’s spirit: putting others first, helping out, and racing for the fun of it. Last year’s winner Daren Wood returned to present the award, but couldn’t pick just one person. Instead, he awarded the trophy jointly to Gordon Brett and Sam Maidment. A truly well-deserved recognition for both.
Congratulations also go to the concourse winners, which was judged this year by Jonathan from the Aldingbourne Centre. Jonathan went above and beyond for us on the day — stepping in at short notice to handle the catering after Flippin’ Tasty were unable to attend. He kept everyone fuelled with bacon rolls in the morning and produced a tasty chilli for lunch. A huge thank you to him for helping out!
We’re also incredibly grateful to the Aldingbourne Community Centre for once again allowing us to use the hall free of charge for this memorial event — their continued support means a great deal to the club and helps keep this day running each year.
Massive thanks go out to everyone who helped organise, run, and support the event — from setting up and packing away to race control and all the little jobs that keep things running smoothly.
📸 Final thanks go to Stuart’s RC photos and videos for catching all the action throughout the day.
